Job Description

We are in search of a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Director to join the dynamic team at Bayview Recovery Center. The Medical Director will be instrumental in the success of our men's only outpatient rehab facility, overseeing medical services and ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to our clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Medical Leadership: Provide expert medical leadership, guidance, and supervision to our medical team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.

Treatment Planning: Collaborate closely with the clinical team to develop and tailor individualized treatment plans, integrating medical and behavioral health components.

Medication Management: Oversee medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs, ensuring safe and effective use of medications to support clients in their recovery journey.

Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure that medical services meet the highest standards of care and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Client Assessment: Participate in client assessments and intake processes to evaluate medical needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Staff Development: Recruit, train, and mentor medical staff, fostering professional growth and ongoing learning. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless coordination of care and a holistic approach to client well-being.

Community Engagement: Cultivate positive relationships with local medical providers, community partners, and stakeholders to enhance the center's reputation and expand our network of resources.

Data Analysis: Analyze medical data and outcomes to inform evidence-based practices, identify trends, and implement improvements to treatment protocols.

Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and management for the medical department, optimizing resource allocation.

Qualification
  • A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license in California.
  • Board certification in addiction medicine or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical and leadership experience in addiction treatment.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based addiction treatment protocols.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse medical team.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
