As the Admissions Director at Santa Barbara Recovery, you will serve as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking addiction treatment. You will lead the admissions process, providing support, information, and guidance to clients and their families as they embark on their recovery journey.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Client Assessment: Conduct initial assessments and screenings to determine client eligibility for admission, considering medical, clinical, and insurance-related factors.

Client Engagement: Establish rapport with clients and their families, offering support, empathy, and reassurance during a challenging time.

Admissions Process: Guide clients and their families through the admissions process, explaining program offerings, financial arrangements, and insurance coverage.

Verification of Benefits: Verify clients' insurance coverage, benefits, and pre-authorization requirements, providing clear explanations of coverage and financial responsibilities.

Clinical Coordination: Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a smooth transition for clients from admission to treatment, addressing any clinical concerns or special needs.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of admissions inquiries, assessments, and admissions-related communications.

Resource Referral: Provide information and referrals for clients and families seeking additional support services, such as mental health services, counseling, or support groups.

Crisis Intervention: Assist in crisis intervention and support for clients in need of immediate admission or intervention.

Data Analysis: Analyze admission data and trends to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making.

Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in admissions or a related role, preferably in the addiction treatment or healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance verification, authorization processes, and billing practices.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Empathetic and patient-centered approach to client interactions.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in documentation.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is desirable.
