Immersive Recovery is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians to join our clinical team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct support and assistance to our clients, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Client Support: Provide emotional support, encouragement, and supervision to clients in the program, fostering a positive and respectful environment.

Safety Monitoring: Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by conducting regular check-ins, observing behaviors, and responding to any crises or emergencies as needed.

Client Activities: Organize and participate in recreational and therapeutic activities that support clients' recovery goals and engage them in the healing process.

Client Engagement: Encourage clients to actively participate in treatment activities, group therapy sessions, and skill-building exercises.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, behaviors, and progress, reporting any concerns to the clinical team.

Medication Management: Assist with medication management under the guidance of the medical team, ensuring clients receive their prescribed medications as directed.

Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and de-escalation during crises, demonstrating empathy and a calm demeanor.

Transportation: Safely transport clients to and from appointments and off-site activities as needed.

Client Education: Educate clients about addiction, recovery strategies, and coping skills, reinforcing their commitment to sobriety.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other staff members to ensure clients' needs are met and their treatment plans are supported.

Qualification
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred).
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as behavioral health technician, mental health aide, or caregiver, is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassion and empathy for individuals on their path to recovery.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during crisis situations.
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
