Golden Gate Recovery is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our esteemed clinical team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support, guidance, and assistance to our clients as they navigate their addiction recovery journey.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

lient Support: Provide direct support to clients by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting a therapeutic environment.

Client Engagement: Foster positive client engagement through active listening, empathy, and building rapport with clients.

Group Facilitation: Assist in facilitating group therapy sessions, promoting client participation and adherence to program activities.

Observation: Monitor and document client behavior, emotional states, and interactions, reporting any significant changes or concerns to the clinical team.

Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to respond to crisis situations, de-escalating conflicts, and ensuring client safety and well-being.

Client Education: Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about addiction, recovery principles, and coping strategies.

Resource Referrals: Assist clients in accessing support services, including housing, transportation, and community resources.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, adhering to all regulatory and ethical standards.

Qualification
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or addiction treatment setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
  • Strong observation and crisis intervention skills.
  • Dedication to maintaining the highest ethical standards in patient care.
