Job Description

As the Director of Nursing at Santa Barbara Recovery, you will be responsible for overseeing all nursing and healthcare-related activities within our facility. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and quality of care for our clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Nursing Leadership: Provide strategic nursing leadership, fostering a culture of excellence and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of nurses, medical assistants, and support staff, ensuring their professional development and the delivery of high-quality care.

Clinical Oversight: Oversee all clinical aspects of client care, including assessments, medication management, and medical treatments, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.

Care Coordination: Collaborate with the medical team, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing services, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring the highest standard of care.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all nursing practices and documentation meet or exceed regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.

Patient Safety: Promote a safe and therapeutic environment, following infection control protocols and safety measures.

Medication Management: Oversee the administration and management of medications, including controlled substances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Patient Education: Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding medication management, health promotion, and wellness.

Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, providing immediate care and coordination with external medical facilities when necessary.

Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
  • Dedication to evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment and mental health services is desirable.
  • CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is desirable.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends.
