Job Description

As the House Manager at Santa Barbara Recovery, you will be responsible for creating a safe, supportive, and structured living environment for our clients. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our program and ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of care and support during their recovery journey.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Client Supervision: Provide 24/7 oversight and support to clients residing in the facility, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

House Maintenance: Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic living environment.

Client Support: Assist clients in adhering to their daily schedules, including medication administration, meal planning, and participation in treatment activities.

Crisis Intervention: Respond to client emergencies and crises, following established protocols and ensuring the safety of clients and staff.

Client Accountability: Monitor and document client behavior and adherence to house rules and program requirements, maintaining accurate and detailed records.

Client Transportation: Coordinate client transportation to and from treatment sessions and appointments as needed.

Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, clinical staff, and external service providers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.

Client Education: Provide clients with information about house rules, expectations, and recovery-related resources.

Emergency Preparedness: Ensure that the facility is equipped with emergency supplies and that staff are trained in emergency procedures.

Supervision: Manage and oversee house staff, including scheduling and training.

Qualification
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
  • Previous experience in a residential or treatment facility setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals on their path to recovery.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment concepts is a plus.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is desirable.
