Job Description

As the Compliance Director at Santa Barbara Recovery, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of our compliance program. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our facility operates in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Compliance Program Development: Create, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program that covers all aspects of facility operations.

Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards relevant to addiction treatment and healthcare facilities.

Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and revise policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Training and Education: Provide ongoing compliance training and education to staff to ensure they understand and adhere to compliance policies and procedures.

Monitoring and Auditing: Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to assess compliance with policies and regulations, identifying areas for improvement and corrective action.

Reporting: Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and accreditation bodies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Incident Reporting: Oversee the reporting and management of compliance-related incidents, including investigating alleged violations and implementing corrective measures.

Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Collaboration: Collaborate with department heads and staff to ensure that compliance considerations are integrated into all aspects of facility operations.

Ethics and Integrity: Promote a culture of ethics and integrity within the organization, providing guidance on ethical issues and conflicts of interest.

Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to addiction treatment and healthcare facilities.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a high degree of professionalism and ethics.
  • Experience with accreditation processes (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF) is desirable.
