Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Therapists to join our team at Bayview Recovery Center. As a Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients on their journey to recovery, providing individual and group therapy sessions and contributing to the development of personalized treatment plans.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Individual and Group Therapy: Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities to address clients' addiction and mental health issues.

Assessment: Perform initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine client needs and progress.

Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' unique goals and challenges.

Client Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for clients, ensuring their needs are met, and their voices are heard throughout the treatment process.

Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support as needed to clients facing acute emotional or behavioral challenges.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including the Clinical Director, Medical Director, and support staff, to provide comprehensive and integrated care.

Education and Support: Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention strategies, offering emotional support and guidance.

Continuing Education: Stay current with best practices in addiction treatment and mental health by participating in training and professional development opportunities.

Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with clients, local organizations, and community resources to support clients' ongoing recovery outside of treatment.

Qualification
  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Licensure or certification as a therapist or counselor in California (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of addiction treatment, including evidence-based therapies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic and client-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and ethical standards.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
